Make sure the adjusters realize that they’ll have to pay out above and beyond the blue book value of the vehicle for all the modifications done to the car. Did yours have dual oil coolers? Is there any way to rip out the second oil cooler from the damaged vehicle and put it in the “new” one you’ll be receiving?

This is actually pretty rotten news after seeing all the time/money you put into installing things in the vehicle.

At the very least quote them for a baffled oil pan from Sector 111. I think it’s better for YOU that the car is totaled but it’s terrible that you’ll have to “settle” for a replacement from some insurance adjusters who don’t care about the rarity of the early build differences.

Perhaps someone else with insurnace industry knowledge can help you figure out how to swing that...
