I'm looking at at '91 Elan, 16K miles, no claimed accident history, to add to the barn with the Elise & Esprit V8. I have very limited experience with this model/year (aka Elan noob/idiot). What should I be asking the seller - seems like there are mods for the shifter and brakes? What should I take special note of on a visual inspection? The car is mostly stock BTW, price a negotiable 17K.
