A couple of pressure transducers in the FP1. They are hooked up to a self averaging pitot tube in the flow range that measures impact pressure, a pressure port 2" upstream from the pitot in the flow range that measures static pressure, and a third port in the settlign chamber that measures pressure at the test fixture. The software averages these number, does some math, and spits out CFM and airspeed.

This is the same method superflow (the industry standard for flowbenches) uses in their computerized measureing systems.

You can also just use a regulat water or mercury manometer to measure the pressure and do the calculations on paper, but this way is MUCH simpler.
