I've been playing it for about 1 hour. The cars are too shiny for my taste, they look like they've just been detailed. Using the triggers for breaking and accelerating is the correct approach though because they're analog wheras buttons are digital. This makes it easier to apply the desired amount of breaks/throttle and you can apply both at once. I noticed the heavy understeer too.
Personally I play with the wireless wheel and racing chair. FYI: You need to use the power adapter instead of batteries to activate force feedback. Using the batteries you'll not get force feedback in the demo.
I preorderd my copy long time ago and am waiting for the 29th so start playing it for real.
