Because my car is Phantom Black I have gone to the extreme to keep the paint looking good. When I wash the car I use the two bucket method with a pure wool mitt and distilled water. When I scrub the car I don't go in circles I go in one direction lengthways on the car. This way the micro scratches that you get go in one direction and are less noticible. Just look at any other black car and you'll see the spider web circles all over the car, that's from washing in a circluar pattern and drying in a circular pattern. I dry my car with my 220 mph shop vac blower it works very well. After the car is dry I may go over it with some final detail & microfiber towels if it needs it. For wax I use NXT.
