Strong arm? The steering on the Elise is very light. No power steering, but you don't need it at all. If you get the LSS, it may be a bit more difficult at very low speeds due to the wider front tires, but still no big deal. I don't understand where the concept of "hard to steer" because it doesn't have power steering comes from.
There are lots of other reasons that an Elise may not be the right car for someone, but needing to be "strong armed" shouldn't be one of them...
