JMA, it's funny that your avatar shows a car in the corkscrew. I have heard of more than one 996 Porsche that has had a headlight pop out under the torsional flex exerted on the chassis in the corkscrew. When a 996 headlamp assembly pops out it will cost you up to $1,600 to replace the scraped up unit.

OUCH!
