TC is electronic for the most part while a LSD is more mechanical. Oh and cars with TC but no LSD in the snow if they are a rwd midship will spin going 1mph in 1/2 of ice with upgraded tires. I know that for a fact and for those time I would take LSD. TC is more or less the company's way of "idiot" proofing their cars so their customers don't die for being stupid.
