That should be the standard adapter plate on the Elise (where the oil cooler lines attach). I wouldn't think that the thermostat in the adapter would be a problem - it should simply direct the warm oil through the cooler lines, and cold oil should bypass. I would assume that the lines remain pressurized, and if you plumbed the Accusump into the return line, there wouldn't be any problem...
