hblotus, have you had the shifter cables adjusted?
Around 3,000 miles, shifting my '06 Exige started becoming reminiscent of my Porsche 914/6's gearbox (where the driver had to be clairvoyant to successfully make certain gear shifts). Qais, at So. Bay Lotus, adjusted the cables, and everything has been (mostly) fine. My car now has 8,500 miles.
At times downshifting into third (only when at the track) can be tricky. I think it might be due to engine movement upsetting the shift cables / linkage. I am considering installing ForcedFed's engine damper (
www.forcedfed.com/elise/dampers) to see if it makes a difference. Other ET'ers report more crisp shifting after the installation.
