![]() Our goal is to give you more track time than most folks can do in one day, typically 3 hours available each day. We try to have instructors for all Novice drivers at every event and most of the time accomplish this. I am all about a lot of track time and providing you the chance to gain and increase your experience. We run 3 different groups with 30 minute sessions. Novice Passing in straights only with a point bye Intermediate Passing anywhere on the track with a point bye Advanced Passing anywhere on the track with no point bye required. I absolutely demand good sportsmanship at all our events and the drivers have all taken it to heart. We have had nothing short of an oustanding group of drivers to date. I set up the run groups so that folks can gain valuable experience and increase your skills. There is only ONE way to learn how to pass in corners etc. and that is to do it. Same with our advanced group. We have started doing running starts to provide some race tech skill learning and it has been a huge success. We watch it very closely and have drivers meeting before each running start. I have also developed a rule book for the Advanced group to ensure everyone is thinking the same thing on track. We keep our event sizes down so that you can get some good track time. I provide drinks to all the drivers during the day and we typically have a party at the hotel the night before the 1st day where I provide beer, softdrinks and pizza to the early registrants who show up. ![]() We have 2 events left this year, both at Putnam Park
Registration is open for both at 10 / 10ths Motorsports We have had several folks with Lotus's at our events and they fit in great. Some folks think we are Corvette oriented by we absolutely welcome all makes and models of cars. I have also provide group rates for groups of 5 or more and would welcome a bunch of Lotus drivers at any of our events. If anyone has questions etc. you can email me at 1010ths@zoomtown.com or give me a call at 513.615.2861 Thanks and I hope to see some of you at our events. Bill ![]() |

Bill - thanks for hosting, I had fun at the event.
10/10ths definitely put on a very different experience from what I'm used to. There was some emphasis on times and passing - whereas with other HPDEs I've been to no mention is ever made of timing. Perhaps as a result, I spun three times - almost once per session - but at no time did I feel endangered by anyone else or that I was a danger to anyone else because every corner station was manned and the level of driving was generally high. Props to Bill for putting on a truly high performance event and having instructors in every novice car.

Yeah, the running start in the advanced group was interesting to watch but I would have been terrified driving it. Twenty cars going into turn 1 wheel to wheel... and one car spinning off the track! Fortunately there was no contact though.

The race starts definitely up the thrill but are still not anywhere near actual racing. I have started competative racing this year and believe our rolling starts will give folks a chance to get some very good practice without the competative pressure. The off in the one start was a result of a driver simply choosing to drive straight off instead of taking the outside corner line. I have to again thank all the drivers who participated in the rolling start for a job well done and in keeping within the rules. The rolling starts are optional and the advanced drivers who do not want to participate simply wait for the first lap to be completed and then they go out. The Novice and Intermediate groups are similar to other events but I do give them the freedom to advance their skills, again in a controlled and safe venue. It has worked great and we will continue on with our other events. I got some great feedback from our Novice drivers so that is always good to hear. Thanks to the Lotus guys who came out. Hope to see more at our November 1st event. Weather looks to be about perfect right now for the event. ![]()
