HANS w/ Bride Zodia

Anyone here using a HANS with the Bride Zodia seat? If so, which model are you using - 10, 20, or 30 degree?

Thanks.

Surely there is someone in the Challenge Series that is running this seat...

I dont know about that seat, but a model 20 is what most sedan seats are.

another option would be to use the defender H+N restraint. it is adjustable to multiple degrees for various seat applications, and its priced at $600, so its even less than the new HANS device.

it is also SFI approved.

OG Racing: Another Head and Neck Restraint?

hope that helps

Thanks Fishguy. I have considered the defender option and I especially like that it provides some side impact neck restraint. My only concern is the lack of real world testing. Do you know of anyone currently using one and have you heard any feedback from them? Know of any crash results aside from laboratory tests?

I do not, which is why i have not worn one.

i figure someone here would be game to try it out, hell, we got all the "crash test dummies" using the sector 111 seat grommets, and the defender has an SFI approval which the sector 111 seat grommet doesnt have.
maybe one of the seat grommet guys will do a test on this product also.

Seriously;
when i looked at the defender, it looked like a HANS device, but had a few modifications such as the side impact, and a way to keep the belts from potentially sliding off the HANS. it looked so similair to a HANS device that my comment was when i handed it back to the guy displaying it "i wonder how long it will be before HANS sues this company for copying their product?"
