Is there a No-fee option to simply come and watch without using any of the facilities?

p.s. Well, at least it's good to know that it's not GGLC or Lotus' doing.
Lotus has nothing to do it with it , LCS is not charging. If you want to attend the LCS event with no use of the club house which by the way costs $2000 to rent and hence the $40 charge I don't have a problem with it but as soon as you cross onto the track the club is going to charge wclm. It is to difficult to not charge one and follow them around to make sure they don't use the facility. Look at this way It's two hands of black jack. LOL

I don't sit down at black jack assuming I'll lose.

Unfortunate that Spring Mountain is charging admission like this is a pro race.
But nice facilities. Use the pool and jacuzzi, shoot a gun (preferable in the gun range), and schedule a massage.

Jim ... I assume we can all give rides to passengers, at least in the LCS run groups?

I can do passenger rides at $1 per lap. if you puke, it's free

seriously though, you will get lunch and be able to relax in the clubhouse with 10 televisions brodcasting different turns on the track. You will also be able to use the viewing tower to see 90% off the track clearly. on the ground you will see 10%

If Disneyland were for adult car fanatics, they'd probably use SMMP as a model.

So Jim, you recommend staying in Red Rock (assume you mean Red Rock Canyon) or on the LV strip?

Peter,

Even with video, you'll be lost. It will take a little seat time to get it .... just be patient.

I believe that we will be running the 2.2 both days -- same track configuration SMMR uses for their Corvette school .... track map and video link below.

Where is the timing loop? Is it on the straight between T10 and T1? When we did the 3.1 mile course the loop was just after T3, so I'm assuming we won't be using that one...

Yes, between 10 and 1 ... you can see the start finish line in the video.

The longest config that we have run at the LCS (and which is my favorite) is the 3.1 mile layout ... track map pictured below -- track outlined in black is the 3.1

I can't wait until the LCS Final at SMMP. I'm also excited to run the 2.2, never been on that little section. Hope we do the 3.5 some day.

I have contacted the track and they can give me 6 rooms at the nugget. I need to know asap who wants them . I don't know the nightly rate but it will be in line with they offer.
You'll have to put your credit card up immediately to hold it.
List here and that is how they will be allocated.

For the nights of 110/7-11/9?

I'm already there for 11/7... I'd rather stay at one place for all three nights...
