I agree with Jack....the 3.1 is so much fun.....although fuel starve is an issue.

So it looks like 2.2 cuts out 8R through 12R and in its place puts a long straight away....

Jim, can I get a room for Sun night the 8th?

You'll have to put your credit card up immediately to hold it.
List here and that is how they will be allocated.
Jim,

I'll take a non-smoking room. Thanks for finding them.

If anyone needs a place to stay, we have a few rooms at the house! It is 60 miles away, but a fun ride out.

Eddie,
Here is a map of the 2.2....http://www.springmountainmotorsports...es/2.2mile.jpg
The north end of the track is not used, but after turn 2 there is a new right hand into an alternate infield before the clubhouse. Many of you have never run this infield or config. This is a fast and fun track that is very hard on brakes and tires. It is very tricky and the infield has an uphil section with a blind exit and off camber apex....

Sherri's Ranch has a 20 room Inn that was only $5 more per night than the Best Western the last time I stayed there. It's a shenanigans-free zone (for that you'll need to walk across the lawn to the brothel), but without question the bar there is highly entertaining (don't waste your time with the bar at the Chicken Ranch unless you intend to partake as they are less sociable and the drinks aren't as good). Best Western? Pfffft. You can stay at a Best Western anywhere. When in Pahrump-shaker, do as the...

this is my fave cnfig too. I'ts been a while since I last drove there, but I've driven a few different cars there and no matter what it's a lot of fun.

I used to instruct for a club that rented this track back before all the renovations.

Sorry for my ignorance on the 2.2 mile track, but I assume we will use the "school" pit lane between T10 and T1, but are we able to get to this pit lane from the swanky clubhouse without having to cross the track?

Since we are using the 2.2 (south track) we will pit in and out at the lower paddock between 10 and 1.

However it is a LONG way from the clubhouse, not sure how much time you will have to go all the way up there. I do wish we could pit up top so that I could at least use the garage I pay for...

Should you wish to go to the clubhouse to take a dump, you can go through the tunnel under the straight between 10 and 1 and drive 1/3 mile up top.

Not sure if we can actually use the pit out in front of the clubhouse

We will be using the facilities at the lower paddock. There are bathrooms in the corvette building . Pit in and out will only be in the lower paddock since the 1.5 is not part of our program .
The swanky club is available to spring mountain members during our event.
The event will also be catered by by big t's bar bbq.

Jim,
I just got my reservation confirmed at a hotel where I was on a waiting list so I won't need my allocation at the Nugget. Thanks.
