That’s a great one of Victor! Robb, John and Carl, thanks for helping me go over the car throughout the weekend. I learned some good tips on making the tires lasting longer. I rotated the R compound tires - the tread only matters if you’re driving in the rain.

Eddie - for your second track day, you put down some nice times. We are all looking forward to seeing you at more events. Thank you for the lead follow Brain, learned a lot from you this weekend. Margaret had fun and thank you Tim for taking her out. She loves to see how the cars can be pushed.

Mark, feel free to bring your children to the F1 race. They are more than welcome.

Part of a cool suit setup -- cool air into his special helmet.

On second thought, it's really a cold air intake for his head.

Eddie?

If you are out there, give me another call please. I can't contact you at the number left (maybe I wrote it down wrong?) and the number I think it was on the caller ID just gives me a constant busy signal.

Hope you come across this and don't think I'm ignoring you.

Robb or anyone that has his contact info- If you could let him know I've tried to get in touch with him and to please try my again at 770-530-8626- I'll get him taken care of.

yes,
I have a cool suit and helmet blower.

however, without the 25 lbs it adds, I just might have been able to make up that narrow 1.9 THOUSANTHS of a second that seperated us!

Maybe I should have thrown up a few more times before the race?

Manly is one hell of a driver, I need to start thinking about little things like this to get closer to his times.

Robb

Just checked LCS website and there's nothing on the calendar for July. I'm out of town for the August event unfortunately so I guess it'll be September before my next LCS event. I could use an interesting mid July 11-29 event (preferably an open track one). Any ideas?? Speedventures has one for July 17, but I'll have to inquire as to whether there are long sessions.
ISpeedventures has an event at Streets Of Willow on Friday, July 11th. I'm signed up...play hookey from work like me and come out and play.

I'd love to and I'll look into that. Struggling to deliver a project on 7/10. If I run into OT then the 11th would be impossible.

Great times at WSIR guys! Congrats to Jack, Tim, Manly and 555 for the podiums!

Robb - you had mentioned the idea of possibly getting everybody together in Vegas the Friday before the October Spring Mtn. event; wives / significant others inclusive. I think this would be a great idea - I know my soon-to-be bride would be very much interested. Thoughts?

Jack - can you post an updated LCS itinerary? I know a lot of ideas and dates have been thrown around for the revised schedule, but I'm a bit lost as to what the latest is.

PS: Vivid memories from the track-
(1) Drinking, stogie smoking, and ruminations outside next to the airstrip on Saturday night while getting bit by fire ants
(2) Seeing a crackwhore use the ground cable to balance herself as she grinded the telephone pole outside a liquor store in Lancaster and then Robb saying "you're not leaving me alone in the truck are you?"

I should be at that one...my car will brought to and stored at spring mountain around mid-august and ill fly out for the this event in Oct....Getting there a day early for a group event would be fun. We can see if we can use the new clubhouse at SM for it.

John - If you want an extra track day, I can get you in as my guest to get a practice day...let me know.

Sounds good Cory - I would definitely like to come out a day or two early. I believe I will be +1 that event as I know she wants to come out to an event. It'll help of course if there are other estrogen-based lifeforms there (aside from the ones available at Sharis) to appease the significant other masses.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm flattered. I've been there twice and I'm still learning the track. Seriously, you should learn the line from someone with more experience there, someone like Brian. He did a 1:34.xx in a stock NA Exige, that means that my car is capable of at least 1:32.xx and I'm nowhere in the ball park.

Don't forget that Craig Stanton did 1:27s in somebody's car last year...

Tim is too modest -- he's one great driver.

Brian is also very fast and a fantastic driver. We could all learn a lot from him given all his racing experience.

BTW, the 1:34xx was done by Tom (#218), not Brian (#555).

John,

As for what a n/a Elise/Exige can do in the hands of Craig, a professional race car driver -- 1:30.04 in a n/a Elise on heat cycled slicks and 1:32.xx on 048's.

1:27.xx was done by Craig in Frank's 300 rwhp s/c Exige on 048's. Craig also turned 1:26.xx in my old Cup240.

These Lotus cars are very capable.

BTW, Jack, I love that track. I know it can be scary, but I'd love to see another event there as it's truly a track of different character for the west coast.
