R3 Motorsports introduces the Elise - Exige spec race car kit. After extensive testing and racing at the Buttonwillow Lotus Challenge Series event and taking the win at Infineon Raceway, R3 is ready to offer to the public their complete spec car kits and packages.
R3 supplies F1K Racing Schools (division of R3 Motorsports) with its Lotus Elise spec race cars for its schools and racing series. The cars come with a L.C.S. approved role cage with side bars or without. SPA fire safety system, Schroth five harness, lightweight tuned exhaust, lightweight wheel and slick tire package, R3 tuned shocks and springs, Lotus sport front sway bar, AIM Sport MXL data aquisition system, and lightening of the chassis. We can modify your car or build you a turn key package. The turn key R3 Lotus starts at $35000.00. Our students and racers really enjoy the race car and get to experience driving on slick tires and having professional instruction with data aquisition. These race cars are available for classes, advanced lapping, and the Lotus Challenge Series at a variety of different tracks. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. All I can say is that R3's Spec NA cars give me a real hard time on the track. They're light, fast and nimble and Ryan's been driving them to some extraordinary times at Buttonwillow and Infineon. These cars are wolves in sheeps' clothing so don't underestimate them. And for the price including instruction, you couldn't field your own car for that little and hope to win.
Just make sure to check the gas cap! :-)

Just wanted to mention that we now have G.P.S. data aquisition systems in these cars. The R.L.C. Racing system is very comprehensive and user friendly. It really helps the driver in his or her developement program understand what is really going on and how to progress to the next level with easy to read G.P.S. track mapping and predictive lapping. In this mode the screen in front of you on the dash will tell you whether you were faster or slower in that last turn as you exit.

Hey Matt,
This sounds like a great deal, especially as the Spec class takes off next year.... What do you propose for those of us who have an Elise already modded? What suspension are you guys running and what is the weight of the spec Elise?
