WHAT?!?! Thats BS. I had heard they were questioning adding a chicane on the front straight...technically that helps me out A LOT since I dont have the top speed of the higher powered cars but I still dont like it. Last I heard though they werent going to do it. That was a while ago though. HAve they changed their minds again to add it now?

At this point, I am 99.9% sure we are NOT going to install a Chicane for the final event of the season. :-)

Brent ended up in second in mod RWD and manly won street RWD. That 500whp S2000 picked up the pace in mod class and Brent got held up by the black GTR on his hot lap....ask him how he feels about that guy...haha I didn't even attempt a second TA session because the belt was just slipping way too bad

Just goes to show that HP can be over-rated.

Besides, Brent took it easy on them ... he's turned 2:30.xxx laps several times in the past on the 3.1 configuration.

Great job, Brent!

Another solid victory for Manly! Looks like he has a lock on the West Region Championship, and will contend with Greg Haye of GTMotoring in his S2000 at Auto Club Speedway this November, for the National Championship!

Great job Brent! Good to see another Lotus doing well, and in Mod Class!

Maybe we'll get an Unlimited Class Lotus to show up. There is a guy in the UK Time Attack, that just tears it up over there.

I've got a video of me and that S2000 on Saturday when I was out testing I will post to show how hard it really is to drive that much power.

Congrats Brent and Manly!

Lots of fun. Wish I could have had time to take it a little more serious and fix some of my setup issues w/ running R888s and the heat. I feel like I let the Lotus family down by losing out on the win in the second TT. (I'm not a big fan of a certain SMMP member driving a GTR on Hoosiers right now) At Least Manly came through for us w/ the win in Street RWD. I will be doing some more Redline events next year, hope to have a little more power to take it to the monsters in this class. I'm also anxious to see how AJ's power does against them at Fontana. Got vid of the second TT, which sucked, but AJ will have to post it up.

I'm really bummed that I yet again had a problem that put me out of commission, my car seems to run great always right up until one of these events. Fontana will hopefully be a different story.

Brent,

You did great, let no one down and represented the Lotus breed fantastically well.

I'm such a kiss ass.

Word on the street is that the AFI Turbo S2000 will have more power, bigger brakes, and better front aero at Fontana

here are some shots:

Doh, they got me parked in the gravel
