FYI, Hooked on Driving grabbed an open Thunderhill track date for Oct 30. David Ray (owner/organizer) tells me that the field is looking to be quite small ("a virtual private track day"). Great opportunity for newbies who want a low-pressure atmosphere for learning (including fewer cars to negotiate around!), and for more advanced drivers who simply want to get in a bunch of clear laps.

there Sports & Exotics day on the 29th is also pretty empty... two days of open track!

Grr!! Oct 29 is the wifes b-day, so that makes the 30th unavailable for me as well. Two great days I can't attend.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons Randy is going to be there -- to provide private coaching for someone on the 29th. ZOINKS! And I think I'm going to call up Mario Batali and ask him if he can help me with my Veal Saltimbucco.
