Thunderhill Weekend Coming Up Soon!
Hey everybody! We FINALLY got a weekend at Thunderhill! We got November 22-23 all to ourselves this year. Cost is a tiny bit higher, but it's not that bad. If we get enough drivers, we'll mail out rebates so that in fact the cost will be the same as if we were running a weekday event. We just gotta get a good fifty folks to sign up. Anyway, as usual, the event will include bottled water and Gatorade, a nice warm Thanksgiving-style lunch, snacks, instruction, and OVER TWO HOURS OF TRACK TIME! Cost is $265 for one day, or $500 for the whole weekend. And like I said, if we get enough drivers, we'll rebate everyone so that it works out at $235 per day the way we usually charge. So think . . . if we get enough drivers, we'll get the whole weekend for under $500!
The registration form is at www.onemain.com/~bonster/thunderhill.pdf I hope you can make this one! I went out on a limb hoping you all could. ![]() |

Hey Bonni- Thanks for the reminder. A couple of days have open up at my "home track" was thinking it was the same days, as this. But it's Nov 24-25. Haven't been to Thunderhill since they repaved it and was thinking I might not make it back out this year. Sound like I'm going to get in 3-4 track days in the same week.
![]() For anyone on the fence, I've run with Bonster's group several times, they are great to run with. A good amount of seat time, Bonni makes sure everyone is keeping it safe and put on a nice lunch and have instructors to help out. Loki- are you "working" this one? |

Last I heard Loki was gonna come out and play rather than work this time around. Good! He needs to have more fun!
![]() Larry . . . wow, you'll be getting a TON of track time between those events. Are they all at Thunderhill? Who's the other group? I wish I could stay and play, but I've already bought my flight tickets (I live in Florida now). Rats. It will be good to see you guys, though! Hopefully we'll get a few more to hang out with. I think this will be a wonderful weekend! ![]() |

Laguna Seca- usually do the Trackmaster date in late Nov. Then, think it's Greenflag Racing that has it right before Xmas. Only started doing Sears Point last year, enjoy them all. Making up for lost time only did 2 track days so far this year. I chair the autox events for the Lotus club, 5 down and 1 to go. I do get a nice mix of autox and track days.
How are the tracks back east? |

That Laguna one does sound nice, Larry. Does this mean you'll be at Thunderhill all weekend then home to Laguna for two more days? Man! You've got a TON more energy than I ever had. But an addiction's an addiction -- it's gotta be fed, I more than agree.
I haven't been to the tracks out here lately, but I have played at Sebring and at Homestead. There's not much elevation change, but they are both fun tracks. Sebring is HUGE! The only downside probably to Sebring (other than some serious walls) is that the surface could use improving. They have three different types of surface there. Crazy! The clutch is bad in my racecar so I probably won't go out the rest of the year. Right now it's too hot and humid to be out in the garage working on it, and I don't know who I can trust around here to do the work for me. *Sigh.* But on the docket for next year are places like Road Atlanta, Little Talladega, Barber, etc.. I'll have my hands full. ![]() |

Thunderhill is far enough away, I'll go for two days. Might skip the last session to head back. Die-heart would be to do Laguna on the 24th. Think I'll skip it, am close enough to drive down the morning of the 25th.
With two days at Thunderhill, hope you get in your share of seat time. |

Yup, also Sears Point in early Nov. and Laguna a few days after this one. Hope to finish the year right before Xmas at Laguna. Just starting up my track season.
![]() LOL- there have been more then a few times on Lotus get together that I've approached the wrong yellow Elise. However given all that Loki has done to his, wouldn't mind that mistake for a session or two. Looking forward to back to back days on a fun, freshly paved, smooth track. |

Hey Guys,
I would be interested in the Thunderhill event. I have been running open track days at Infineon with Ric McCormick, LCS events at Buttonwillow and a fair amount of Karts classes at Infineon. Any chance I could join in on the fun?

Wow! Not many sign up at the moment. Not so good for Bonnie. Will make for a pretty open track for the drivers (only 4 so far in my run group for Sunday) as of about a week ago.
You can go to: T.E.A.M. Racing ~ 2008 Event Schedule To sign up and make the payment. |

***Well of COURSE you can! This isn't some exclusive event where only 'celeberities' like Larry and Alan can attend. It's open to all who want to have a BLAST. Come on out! Oh . . . one small requirement . . . I get to borrow your car.

For those of you on the fence, Bonni is right now undersubscribed so that, in addition to her already generous track time, you are going to have a low car count (bad for Bonni, good for drivers). This is the kind of event people pony up $500 a day or more! See you there!

Would be great for a novice. They only have 4 sign up for Saturday and no one on Sunday. They would also get the benefit of having a couple of Elise owners instructing.
Heck even for me, I've only got 12 cars on Saturday and 5 Sunday in my run group. It's going to be fun having such a open track. |
