05 Sticky Accelerator

When I've been holding a constant speed for a few minutes and lift my foot off the pedal to decelerate, the pedal sticks a tiny bit.

Do I get the dealer to look at it (they won't be able to tell) or lube it myself with something?

Free cruise control with no weight penalty. You want to get rid of it?

I had mine replaced under warranty. I didn't even know the cable was binding. Apparently it was getting progressively worse over time and I didn't realize it. I had it in for scheduled service and Don noticed it immediately and later replaced it (a big job). After I got the car back it took me a couple days to get used to it, the difference was so great. It seemed like there was no resistance at all when pressing on the pedal.

when I got my car, the gas pedal was very stiff. in fact, i generally stop 2/3 or the way through because it was so stiff at that point.

i lived with this for 3 months before realizing this was not normal -- dealer replaced it. At that time, I was told that the throttle cable can't be lubed. You'll have to bring it in to have it replaced.

OK, so my 05 throttle cable has been sticking more & more lately. Is this a dealer fix and known a problem??
