Alarm Quirks
Hello fellow Elise lovers! Has anyone ever had issues with the alarm? My symptoms are as follows:
Upon locking the doors via remote, the doors will lock and then about 4 seconds after the alarm will beep a constant beep. Not at the volume as if it were actually going off, however, just a steady beep until I then unlock it. I would greatly appreciate ANY advice. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow for the 7500 service and I thought that I would address it then but maybe someone else has experienced this same problem. Cheers, Randy

That indicates that some sensor is indicating a fault. As Keeper said, it is probably the interior light not in the down position, but sometimes people don't get the front access panels back on right and one of those switches will indicate a fault. The tone will eventually go off and the alarm will arm, but with whatever sensor is faulting, not enabled.

You saved my yet again another headache and night of restless sleep. Just put my light back in the "proper position". ![]()

Your issue reminds me of a similar instance, when I long ago learned first hand the lesson of the light position!
ET is often so helpful; praise to Lotus drivers sharing their experiences!
