Question anyone have the "new" toe link torque spec page in service manual?

Does anyone have the "new updated" service manual that is supposed to have the 60nm torque spec for the toe link? I know Don posted the 60nm change here awhile ago. I have the "old" (downloaded jul '07) S/M and all of the TSB from the site as of 7/07 and no mention of the change anywhere. I was hoping I could get a copy of that "new" page if anyone is willing.

I want to stress I do not want/need the service manual. I have that already. I just want the "updated" page that is supposed to be in the manual. This desire stems from my service rep having "never heard of an increase in the toe link torque spec."

I just downloaded the manual about a week ago or so. It's at home, but I think that it still showed the 50nm spec as well, IIRC. I'll double check when I get home.

Blue loctite works fine especially if you only torque to 50nm. Broke through mine on the last check because I had the wrench set wrong. The Nord-Locks arrived yesterday.
i was not poking at the values listed in your post, nor whether they are correct or not... the OP was looking for some official printed material to show his service guy to prove that the value is now 60. there are tons of posts listing the e-talk official torque value, but nowhere is there any official literature.

There IS an official Lotus document floating around somewhere. I think Don posted a scan of it at some time.

Nice find! You have to love McMaster-Carr when it comes to finding odd hardware. I just replaced the worn out shifter linkage on my BMW R80/7 with rod ends from McMaster--BMW's price $80+, McMaster's price $5.25 including shipping and the parts from McMaster are better quality than the originals!

I've been searching for days (yes, my search skill still suck) and haven't found anything "official" posted on here or with Lotus' site. I've searched under APOGEE and Donelise (as well as multiple other non-person specific attempts) both without finding anything other than the above fix of Calbear92's post.

Mike325ci posted this: http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...9&postcount=58 but I got the S/M in July '07 and it says 50 nm. Don's post about the change is from Sep '06.

I guess I could always pay another $25 to get it, if Mike325ci is really correct about the update... but I just did it 3 mos ago

Ace10, you always come up with the best combo of search terms for obscure requests like this. Any ideas?

I've tried every combination and permutation of "toe link torque specification rear suspension brace NM ft-lbs 50 60 update donelise apogee" that I can come up with all to no avail.

try "60*nm"

i searched all my pdf's and couldnt find a reference to a 60 nm version, section_dh is the one you want, but it might be in a TSB revise, i did update my manuals a couple of months ago.

heres one thread talking about it
http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...t=19761&page=6

google is way better to search with than vbulletin too

Still 50nm

I downloaded the manual a couple of weeks ago and here is what it says:

Torque Settings: Nm
- Upper and lower wishbone pivot bolts 45
- Upper and lower swivel joint ball pins 55
- Upper swivel joint plinth to hub carrier - 8.8 grade 45
- 10.9 grade 68
- Toe-link outer ball joint to hub carrier 55
- Toe-link inner ball joint/wishbone to subframe 50
- Toe-link ball joint lock nuts 45
- Damper to lower wishbone 45
- Damper to chassis 45
- Brake caliper to hub carrier - upper M10 45 - 50
- lower M8 26 - 30
- Hub bearing unit to hub carrier 90
- Rear hub nut 220

So, I am confused also. Can anyone confirm 60?

Rear Suspension PFD

Sorry, forgot to mention that the numbers I posted above are from the Rear Suspension PDF, not the Track Pack Installation PDF.

2006/19 Class 3 Rear suspension toe-link torque check (Elise/Exige) 03.08.06

thats the only one i can see that talks about suspension and torque.

Here's the page I downloaded on 9/27. Still says 50Nm. There was no TSB for this listed on that date as I downloaded all of those as well, even the supplement for the 2-11. The one you listed, Charlie, was not on there either.

Lotus does not supply all the TSB's to end users, only dealers. I have a list of most of them.

yeah 03/03/2006 is the last rev i have too, but if it exists, it'll be in a TSB update i'm sure.
