Door Lock Stuck in Vertical position

Just as the title says both the driver and passenger door locks are stuck in the vertical position. The alarm had been acting up so I wanted to make sure no one could get in and put both the passenger and driver locks in the vertical position and now they wont go back to horizontal. Never thought I would be more frustrated knowing the car was "unlocked" only to find out I could not get in with the key. I am open to suggestions. By the way the temperature is 29F out. I don't know if that changes anything but just thought I would throw that in the mix.

Have you tried unlocking with the alarm arm and unarmed. I think the lock mechanism is seperate from the alarm an if you manually lock it, it can only be unlocked in the same condition as it was locked. Example; if locked while alarm is armed, unlock while armed.
