Exige rear deck and water in trunk : (
So I noticed that my trunk was damp, so obviously water is getting in there.
My wife noticed today that in the passenger seat, if she looks out the back, she can see daylight were the rear deck should be sealed shut with the car. I saw that there are 2 adjustment screws that seem to control the height of that. Is that all there is to it, lower the screws and the rear deck (engine cover) will sit flush with the body of the car? I did not want to risk damaging anything without asking first. Thanks! +anthony

The opening between the clam and hatch seems to unique to each Exige and produced however it is from the factory.
I have had 3 Exiges now and each one has had a different gap around the hatch/ engine cover. You could even stick a finger in the gap on my 2007. I have even seen some where you could see through the gap - kind of what it sounds like you are describing, from the side of the car into the engine. Anyway, I recall another thread where it was concluded there wasn't an adjustment for this. There is an adjustment that alters the height at the latch but does not alter any gaps along the sides. Also, there is a drainage channel surrounding the trunk opening - which is fairly deep - so you must be experiencing something that enables the water to get into the trunk from the top.
