Idle and Throttle problem....

First of all, sorry for my english...I'm Italian and I can't write/speak/understand very well your language....

My new '07 Elise R has 1800 miles on it, done the first oil and filter change at 1000 miles.

Yesterday, after a "spirited drive" I felt the engine run strange...Going at a normal cruising speed, the car respond like there isn't fuel in it...but, the tank was full!

Stopped immediatly, the idle go under the normal 800-1000 rpm band, and after a couple of seconds "going like with only 3 cylinders"..the engine cut off.

I think it can be the Drive by Wire throttle that not respond well...

I read the ECU reset procedure, but it seems not work with my Elise...Anyone have some suggestions? ...'cause I have to wait until September to bring my car at the lotus dealer to take at look at it...'cause now they are in holyday

Again, sorry for my write up...I hope you can understand my problem!

Thanks to all.

Lascilo sapere e proverò a aiutare.

You are very kind to post in Italian.

Thie evening i tried again to start the engine to "ear" it and try to understand the problem....

At idle (cold engine) it seems all right...but giving a little gas seems the engine "run on three"....but no MIL light! I think if the problem is a misfire the MIL should turn on...right?

Another strange thing is the intake noise....I didn't give attention to that before today, but I think that's a strange noise...I think the English word for this sound could be sharp, or blow...

this monday I'm going to bring the car to a Toyota workshop (very "smart" guys, my mechanics since 6 year, until a month ago...) and try to read the OBDII with Toyota software....let's wait and see...

Thnaks again
