Rhythmic clunk, clunk, clunk in center console

Very rapid, like a fast metronome. Seems to be coming from the shifter linkage inside the center console while driving. Couldn't find this specific noise in any thread. Any ideas? Fixes?

The hamster that drives the rear wheels could be trying to escape.

Does the shifter move when you hear the noise?

Only when the care is in motion?
Only when the engine is running at idle?

Might be a loose shifter cable or ebrake cable. There isn't much else inside the console except the wiring for the emergency flashers and the traction control.

Have you looked under the car?
The tub transmits sound in a confusing way. The source might be at the wheels or elsewhere.

Only when car is in motion. Could be coming from under the car but definitely comes up through middle of floor (console area). What else could be under there?

I think I'm hearing the same thing, mine only happens over bumps specifically a choppy section of pavement. I took apart the center console and looked around and did not find anything. Also took off the wheel arch liners and didn't find anything loose.
