Spark Plugs W/Pics

Post pictures of your removed plugs.

Cylinder 4 looks like some water got into where the coil pack contacts the plug. Will try some dielectric grease on it this time. I changed these at 8400miles when I put in my S/C. Not sure if these were original since I had an ECU issue where they replaced coil packs and probably plugs.

Those are from your car when NA correct? They look like they have quite a few miles on them...

#4 or #1? Usually #1 gets the water....

If you're behind the car looking forward it will be laid out the same as in the picture. so the left of the picture will be the left rear and the right of the picture will be right rear. Not sure which cyl is offically which number.

Yeah these were taken out at 8400 miles, and maybe 150 of those with the S/C installed.

Cool- That's what I thought.

#1 is on the passenger side (the belt side of the engine) and water tends to puddle there a bit... The plugs turn brown over time from the junk additives in street gas, so they're not much good for reading

Best,

Phil

blown motor. no freaking clue how many miles on these plugs now. There was ~15k miles on the car when it blew but the dealership mechanic told me he put new plugs in it last time. never realized he put in two different brands.

Tossed mine. They looked like used plugs. 36K miles. Really didn't look worn at all. Runs pretty much the same on the new ones.

These were mine at about 25k miles next to one of the new ones. I went ahead and replaced the lift bolts, the accessory belt, and cleaned the OCV screens at the same time- coilpacks looked OK:

Check my plugs today. About 15k miles on them. Mostly track miles.
they look like they are somewhere between normal wear and mild carbon fouling. Does that mean these current plugs are just a tad too cold? :dunno: I was thinking to install one step colder plugs (IK22) for the summer. humm. I just order a set of IK20 and have a set of IK22 laying around. Will compare them after a few event.

Here are my supercharger plugs after 250 miles. I've reduced the gap from .044 to .034 and it feels much better. Look normal, or not enough miles to tell?
