Steering rack refurb?

With cars rolling off of warranty, has anyone had their oe steering rack reconditioned/refurbed instead of purchasing a new one? Mine feels a little clunky at times, but not as bad as I've seen on some of the other threads. I had my M100 rack rebuilt as they have been on back order from Hethel since 2003 or so. Thanks.

Mine was replaced under warranty. I tried to get them to give me the original one so I could take it apart but they claimed that they needed to send it back to Lotus. Hopefully, the worn out racks were actually defective and the replacement racks are fixed and wont wear out.
