Supplied hose on Saikou Michi catch cans

Did anyone have as hard a time putting on the supplied large hose as I did? When I started this endeavor, I thought this whole thing would be easy. It was till I got to that now hated hose. It was too small, so I put some oil on it to make it slip on. That didn't work. I got some needle nose pliers and stuck up in it and twisted it around for awhile. That didn't work. Have you ever put a hose in the microwave? It makes some weird loud noises (got hot though). That didn't work. Got the balled end of a ratchet, put oil on it and pushed it up into it. Then got a lighter and got the rubber real hot and kept pushing the ratchet. It finally looked like I had pushed it far enough, pulled it out and quickly put it on the flange. It at least made it up on it a little. By now (really way before now) there was an occasional cuss word thrown in. I have a torch over at the shop and was tempted to go get it, but I thought it would probably melt the hose. I was able to get a clamp on it, but the hose is only about half way on.

I didn't have much problems pushing the hoses on. Which connection is problematic? Got any pictures?

Had the same problem. After about 10 minutes, I just gave up and cut/used the hose that was already in the car. Plenty of length and slipped right on.

+1

If you mean the ones from the throttle body, the existing hoses worked fine.

Yup! Those are the ones. They are already the correct size. Cut to fit, slip them on, clamp them down.

Toss the pieces that came with the kit in your parts bin, you'll want them some day.

I should have done that to begin with. I will check this afternoon and make sure it is log enough.
