What is the proper torque for the front control arm/toe link?
The toe link (?) for my right front wheel has a loose bolt. It looks "just like" the joint for the rear toe link.
I've tightened it, but I don't know the correct torque. Can someone help? Thanks. Also, if you can confirm the updated torque spec for rear toe link, that would be great. |

I think Randy listed the torque settings for the rear suspension - which are essentially the same as the front. The front settings are listed below, and assuming that you are talking about the track rod end/steering arm joint (the red arrow in the diagram), then the nut should be torqued down to 30 NM (whatever that translates to in foot-lbs) - this value has not been adjusted, it was the torque for the inner end of the toe-link in the rear that was changed.
The other end of the track rod (aka tie-rod, aka toe-link rod - but it shouldn't be called that on the front) is connected to the steering rack and not part of the suspension bushings (the part that needs to be checked often in the rear).

Yep. Even the avatars are blocked. I think we "updated" our web filters. |
