I never quite understood the arched back thing in these pictures. It's a common thread with almost all hoochie-mama pics. Are we supposed to feel sorry for them 'cause the're disabled?

Yah, that's because of e2amp but seriously, why Alpine isn't kicking up a fuss, I can't understand. It's simple business. The more marketing coming out of e2amp the less I like them. They really are doing their best to turn the lotus into the "cheap exotic" with stuff like throwing them at the bull run. It seems like the only reason they do most of the marketing they're doing is to specifically benefit the e2amp kid. He goes on Bull Run in a free lotus. He is on the tv show. Doesn't sound like he has the best interest of Lotus in mind. From what I have heard, he mainly wants to live like a playboy and looks like he's doing very well at it on Lotus' tab.

Uh, no. I think it damages business relationships. Why would Alpine want to put their stereo equipment into the elise as a stock component only to have JVC being advertised all over the cars and in magazines?

It really has very little to do with how much porn I watch, I just understand the legal aspects of business, which is why I am where I am. You don't put logos into advertisements without authorization. If I was in business with them, there would be a serious discussion going on over at Lotus.

My bad, sorry. But, to answer your question. Money. Alpine is a vendor, not the customer. It might strain the relationship for a moment, but in the end Lotus could easily put another radio in. Plus if Alpine pulled their product, other manufactors would wonder how much dog wagging this tail would do. This goes on so much in so many industries you wouldn't believe it.

My guess would be alpine is dealt with at Lotus, and the JVC thing is via LCU.

Alpine may not give them any serious discounts either, the cars no exactly what you'd call hi fi, and jvc may have paid well, it'd be tough to figure out without knowing all the ins and outs.

But honestly, i'd imagine the only people who had even noticed would be people in charge of infringements/marketing.

Its probably all just tied in with the bullrun stuff.

also JVC are using the elise as the new demo car for Arsenal, which is definetely good for lotus, and they've got an internal promotion going on for their sales to win a day at the lotus driving school

I can't imagine this kind of ad improves the image of the marque. If the Lotus badge was missing from the image, I'd say it was done purely for the graceful curves of the car being used to contrast the garish forced curves of the trollop dishing up the petrol. But clearly Lotus signed off on it.

What were they thinking?
