And it only weighs 1918 lbs?

I love this quote from the article: "After all, a Lotus has always been about the feeling that comes through the steering wheel, not the throttle pedal." Sums it up pretty well...

Ok there's no way that:

1) It weighs 1918 lbs. MAYBE in UK no options trim. no a/c no radio no nothing. They also say theirs has the Touring package.

I don't have the touring package
I do have the sport package
I've removed heaps of stuff and upgraded to lighter versions of other stuff
I'm STILL only 1886 lbs. with a supercharger.

1918 lbs? maybe dry.

2) It's 50" tall. 43.5-45.0 MAYBE... but NOT 50"...

3) 72.8" wide... counting the side mirrors I guess... but no one does that (stock car is 67.7")

4) "The Lotus Elise is the car that Lotus said it couldn't build." They mean the Elise SC, not a regular Elise.

Someone's been smoking something.

The whole article seems off in a lot of ways.

Every car journal company gets their stuff wrong, ESPECIALLY about Lotus.

CAR AND DRIVER (rough quote): "Owners tell us you get a cup holder in the optional touring package, but we've never seen one."

Later in the article they mention the premium pack and what it consists of. I suppose they're just bad editors or figure most won't care

Thankfully, we do get cup holders in the new touring pack

18,000 dollars for a supercharger? Maybe back in the UK, but surely it won't cost that much more in the US. Right...?

Interesting to see the rears are going to be 8" wide. Is this accurate?

18k over the base UK model - not the same as the base model we have here...

The article mentioned something about the safety of the roof (in an Exige)? I guess this is true if you don't have a hardtop :P
