Faulty lotus used in test

On the Fifth Gear site:

"Lotus Elise
In the last series Jason Plato tested the new supercharged Lotus Elise, and although he took delight in the accurate steering, he was unimpressed by how the car stuttered under hard acceleration. This kind of hesitancy is usually symptomatic of a problem with the fuel mapping in the engine's brain. Since that test Lotus have been in touch to admit that particular car did have a fault which has now been fixed, and the issue was very much the exception not the rule, and would have been something that developed only after it had left the factory. We've certainly never come across any other Lotus models with dodgy mapping so we're looking forward to getting back in the car and giving it another crack of the whip. The new series of Fifth Gear returns in August."

Ahh, vindication for the small one!

On another note, Jason HATES the Lotus driving position, so I doubt his opinions will change much.

I love my Elise more than any other car I've owned, but man, it isn't perfect by a long shot.
What car is?

That tester is obviously biased against Lotus cars in general.
He must be an Audi guy.
