LOG 27 Article in MLE magazine

F.Y.I. - Picked up Modified Luxury & Exoctics (MLE) magazine last week and found a 4 page article about LOG 27. I didn't know that an Esprit had a bunch of tires and dirt for lunch on track day, but it is listed in this article. Good read.

No one was hurt in the accident so it's not too untasteful.

LOG accident

No one was hurt but it was a very close thing. Esprit came into the hairpin way to hot, went over the tire wall and into the parking lot entrance among the arriving spectators. The car was destroyed and it was incredibly lucky that no one was injured or killed....Dave

I'm the photographer for ML&E that was covering the event. I thought I'd post up a scan of the full article (minus the text since it is still on the stands).

I ended up giving a ride to the owner and his wife of the Esprit from the park and ride back to the hotel. He was pretty shaken up about the car but was very interested in seeing the photos. With all of the track events I cover, I see lots of wrecks and spin outs... and it almost never fells that the drive seeks me out to see if I got shots of it.

Enjoy the photos for now. After the copyright usage is over for ML&E, I'll be able post up and make available the rest of the images from that day for those that are interested.

And while you're here, you should give us other would-be photographers some tips on how you get such great shots

I liked the article, although I mostly skimmed it... the section on the Esprit wreck was actually the only thing that really caught my attention!
