R3 motorsports to compete in the 25hrs of Thunderhill

R3 motorsports of Van Nuys, California announced today that they will participate in the 2009 National Auto Sport Association (NASA) 25 Hours of Thunderhill, Presented by Mothers Polishes, Waxes, and Cleaners, December 5-6 at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA.

R3 motorsports will field a special R3 prepared Lotus Exige S endurance spec racecar in the ultra competitive ES class. The driver line up will consist of two time Daytona 24hr winner Jean Francois Dumoulin,Lotus Challenge Series champion Kevin Marshall, North American Ferrari Challenge driver Harry Cheung and Russell series and Scca national Driver Stephan Hill.
“I am very excited to see what the this car can do , it is very quick, light and efficient and I expect it to come home on the podium” Quoted Lead Driver Jean Francois Dumoulin. The car features an endurance 64 liter special made FIA fuel cell, dry brake fuel system, air jacks, transmission cooler and a special tuned 2zz Toyota engine for increased fuel efficiency and power. “ we have nick named the car the scorpion for its tiny package and vicious bite” quoted team principal Ryan Negri.
