Ive seen plenty of us chase down vipers on the track in stock 190 hp Elises. Dont need $6k in upgrades to do that...

The package is $19k - The $6k mentioned is the wheel tyre and brake component.

That is ridiculously expensive! You can just get a 240S and keep the factory warranty...

But I think the Lotus S240 is only applicable to an Exige. If I am not mistaken, this kit is also available for an Elise (correct me if I am wrong)

Aftermarket turbo/super charger plus engine management is much easier and much much cheaper. Other than the torque bump, why would you give up 8k rpm for just a modest gain.

Sorry, I'll pass.

Sounds interesting, but 19,000 for 60hp is steep...and what about CARB and smogging?

Also, are there any plans for intercooling for Exiges?

Well, the benefit is that you get a new engine. No modding and pushing the limits of the stock engine necessary. That equals reliability. You also get a warranty from Secant. You don't get a warranty on the supercharged or turbocharged engines; only the parts.

This is not just about peak power. This is a completely different engine. It will change the car completely. No more peaky power band.

How much do you expect reliable engine swaps to cost anyway?

BWR supercharged... I suppose I "got the power" now??
