The 2nd Exige S240 in Vancouver

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum (but was checking this forum out for almost half year already) and wish to know many of you, since I am new to this Lotus family

I put deposite on the car on last Friday(May 22.09) and took the car away from WEISSACH on Saturday.

~~~~BTW my car is Solar Yellow and stock for now... and is gona use it as DAILY DRIVER!
any recommendations on exhaust? whats the difference between the Larini 6inch and SC and S clubsport???? as in sound and performance and weight....or would a stage 2 from lotus be better?
The ride on the 240 is awesome! very responsive on anything and everything
But my heart was teared in half b/c someone scratch my wind shield!!! (the FIRST day!)
I only parked on the residence's streets and the parking lot in safeway around my area (king edward and arbutus) and then I ended up with a scratch at the end of my day not knowing where the F*** that came from!!! so pizz
but besides that I took a long run with my new ride breaking in an extra 100km on my car the first day (got the car with 53km on the meter)
loved it, loved it.....and loved it
I was so surprised when i first saw the scratch on my wind shield at the end of the day and I thought I picked up a few huge chips off the road, but wait a sec I was basically driving max out 70km/h in main streets and slows down to 30 or 40km/h in the smaller streets! No way this happened and if it did, I would have notice a couple hits on my wind shield.
Then I figured it out that it was scratches that should be made from some ignorant f***s that scratched my car with their shark keys or w.e...
Anywayz, trying to figure out if Lotus can replace my wind shield under warranty
here is some pictures at night and enjoy and hope to meet many of you
I will have some better 'sunshine' photos in asap but i heard it will rain tomorrow here in Van (on May 26) and also I will have few of my frds doing some photo shoot just to keep some good memories
Yeah unfortunately most 240 were sent to alberta.....seems like more buyers in alberta is interested then Van ppl
so far according to the WEISSACH only TWO 240s in Van (including Richmond Metrotown....etc) the rest were sent to alberta where the buyers are
a Burnt Orange I loved was sold 2 days later I bought my Solar Yellow, It was another alberta buyer who was interested in my yellow because mine has the track package burnt orange dont (one of the reason i bought this yellow)
so in the end that buyer paid the deposit for the orange and I suppose the orange is gone fro mthe showroom now....sad to not being able to see it anymore...
theres around 3 or 4 220s in Van I believe?? but this is it for now for 240s.....
On your dash cluster picture - why does it not display your odometer reading? Also, it looks like you might have an amber warning indicator light lit (other than the seat-belt one)? - What is that?
Depending on how deep and how long the scratch is, that has been etched into your windscreen, I think there is actually some method(s) to fill/repair that somewhere I've heard (maybe someone else on here knows more specifics?) nearly good as new.
Congrats on a beautiful machine!
thanks!
the scratch is.....like when u slide ur figure over the scratch, u can feel the depth and like a 'bump' kind of feel... well ill see how lotus is going to reply usually they should have an answer nex week but if i need to pay for the repair/replace then i mite just stay like this until i cnt handle it, cuz yoou never kno if another F**K scratch the wind shield again....omg
and the lit u said beside seat belt is a parking light...means i pulled the hand brake thx for the care
btw have anyone installed HID, LED parking lights and LED interior light themselves? if you have, can you teach me how? with real life pictures kinda illustrating? I went to the lighting part of the forum and found a HID install guide but that didn make me wana do the HID
i m most affraid of the warranty of my car, so I wana be sure how to do this before proceeding
Yeah both times I waved but didn't think u saw me. We were heading different directions on Granville both times too. Today I wuz parked by Bubble World.
The tow hook is really simple, u might wanna get some longer bolts but it's not required. You don't need to jack it up if u dont' want to, u can reach it. Just need 2 undo the two 13mm bolts (I think it's 13mm) throw on some locktite when u put it back on though.
Yeah..... I do this even when I am walking.... I will be looking straight instead of looking around to see ppl.... even before while I was in high skul my frds waves at me in the hallway but I would only look straight so did not see them and later on they b*tch abt how I ignore them
Yupp I will try to DIY on this I will buy some loctites tmr
I suppose I am one of those ppl tat will throw everyth to the dealer....but from now on..I will try everyth out
but my family is always worrying about the warranty cuz if I did neth myself and smth were to went wrong dealer will not cover it (I personally think its not that big deal)
I think this is where the difference starts between a BMW and Lotus
Lotus = DIY
BMW = Dealer (too many elec. tech. stuff)
