Last lapping of 2008 Dunnville Oct 19th
Hello, Lotus crew,
I have one last one before the season is over and its on 19th of October. Sunday from 8:00 am to 12 pm. We have instructors from high performance driving school and Great Korean BBQ firing up on trackside. Instruction is included in $100 lapping fee and $20 for BBQ. This is very small group seassion for the 4 hours of full track time(max.12 cars) Which would be VERY VERY SAFE for beginners. If you are guys would love to come out for the last lapping of the season, Contact me at taiji_dave@hotmail.com Thanks, p.s. High Performance driving school usually runs upwards of $400 and up, with $100 I think you would get my point. |

I went to Dave's last event a couple of weeks ago and can recommend it. For those of you who haven't been, Dunnville is actually a test facility used by the auto manufacturers, rather than a recetrack. It is very technical, with lots of low-med speed corners - you only hit 4th a couple of times a lap. It's not easy to be quick there though...Dave demonstrated how essential it is to use all the available track and be precise with your lines and not unbalance the car.
A great event for a first timer, as I was. For all the complaints on this site re Lotus build quality, it demonstrated to me how tough these cars are. While almost all of the other cars needed a "rest" after 20 mins or so to cool brakes, engine etc, the Elise kept on going as long as I could....

I've attended the sessions organized by Gentry lane the last few years (including the first, unfortunate one this summer) but this sounds like its a bit more "intimate". Would that be accurate? I know this year's done but I'll keep an eye open starting next year.
