Angeles Shooting Range Meet - 2/9 or 2/10

This came up from last night's meet, so beg, borrow (but don't steal) a gun and come throw some lead downrange.

Saturday or Sunday (2/9 or 2/10) - to be decided by the group

Angeles is an outdoor range but there is a roof to shade us, they do *NOT* rent weapons. They sell targets, ammo, ear and eye protection. Fees, etc are on their website:

Rifle, Pistol, & Shotgun Ranges

Ear and Eye protection are mandatory while shooting. Sunglasses are OK. No Steel-Core ammo. No tracer rounds. The range officers run a fairly tight ship, expect someone to get yelled at for not following directions. Shooting in the rain, wind, etc is entirely possible. Angeles has one range that goes out to 600 yards in 100 yard increments as well as a pistol/small caliber rifle range with steel targets at various lengths out to 100 yards.

Anyone in our group is welcome to shoot my rifle, provided they're not a knucklehead. All the safety stuff you'd expect to apply to firearms, applies. So bring whatever you've got, but be safe, smart and don't do anything stupid with your weapon or someone else's.

All that should go without saying, but you never know.

I'm in! Didn't realize it was that far up north though but sounds more fun than shooting in a room with paper targets.

btw, will that gun fit in the lotus?

Might bring my Steyr SSG69-P-II to complete sight in. Need the extra distance to make sure the rifle is spot on. Don't feel like shooting the other guns right now... need to conserve all the AR and AK ammo.

Jon I still have a couple 20 round boxes of 556 you can have since I won't be using them anytime in the near future.
