Anyone interested in trading wheels?
1/22/13: The deal's off, I'm getting them refinished.
I'm ready for a new look. I was thinking about just refinishing my wheels, but I would hate to waste the finish that's on there now. Let me know if you may be interested in a trade. I may be interested in selling them if I can find some wheels too. I would be looking for either another set of cup wheels, or volks, or something interesting (sorry, not interested in stock wheels). These wheels are in perfect condition, with no curb rash or bends. I had them refinished about a year and a half ago. The process consisted of them stripping the finish, then polishing the wheels. The shop then painted a tinted red finish followed by a clear coat that was baked on. The "Lotus Sport" lettering is also painted black. The finish is awesome, did not add any weight, and it won't fade over time like you would see if they were anodized. I prefer a local transaction, so I'm posting this here in the CA forum before I take it to the regular FS forum. Here's some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have a set of the black Exige S260 type forged rims that I am interested in either selling or trading (eventually) for a set of 15/16 Volk CE28N rims in black. Unfortunately your red rims would probably not work well on a BRG color Elise. If someone else with some Volks was interested in your rims and if you have any interest in mine, we could consider a three-way deal (which is probably hard to pull off). My rims are 16x7 ET31 and 17x8 ET38; these are manufactured by Team Dynamics for Lotus. I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd toss this idea out there.

WHY!??!?!!?!?!?
Dude, those wheels are way too hawt to give up. If I still had my white Elise, I would seriously be staying up all night thinking about this one. BTW, folks, if you are debating it, yes, these rims look way hotter in real life than the pictures can ever portray. I really love them.

Thanks Wil, yeah, IDK, I'm still on the fence. Sometimes I feel they attract too much attention to the car (not always in a good way IE:cops and bums lol). I just want to try and fly under the radar a bit more, which is already hard enough in a Lotus haha.

I realized when talking to someone about whether or not to put the diffuser and exhaust on my Lotus that any attempts to "fly under the radar" in these cars would pretty much be futile.
