The driving clinic is to be determined by Extreme Speed Track Events. Could be a combination of 1/4 mile, skid pad, slalom, etc.

The track event running December 30th won't be posted until a few weeks out from the event by Extreme Speed Track Events.

It is close to me. But I hate going there.

WSIR has 3 main tracks: big track, streets and horsethief. Think of streets as a dusty track ala autocross, tight turns. Horsethief is like driving in the mountains/canyons. These two are fun.

The big track is hella boring. Plus the track looks like a mutant penis. Piss me off just thinking of the 9 turns. This track just wears down your tires more asymmetrically (check turn 2 and 8).

Since you close by you just hang out for awhile.

Agreed.

Go to WSIR for right hand wear and then go to Fontana for left hand wear. That's how it goes for motorcycle racers.

WSIR is way too dirty and dusty and there are no amenities whatsoever. Bring your own tents, chairs, coolers, everything.

Complaining about a race track is not something I can do... the closest one is a hell of a lot of fun and great for learning.

I would like more though - besides a drag strip lol.

The driving clinic will be limited track driving with car skid pad control. Extreme Speed TracK Event staff will discuss this in more detail at the event.

For anyone who's never taken their car out in a controlled environment, skidpad exercises are one of the best ways to learn some basic car control skills.

I'm assuming these are wet skidpad exercises? The wet skidpad stuff I did at Skip Barber was some of the best training I've taken part in.

I do believe it's a wet skidpad.
