California Registration Type Veh #69 ??
Hi
I am hoping somebody has a connection to the DMV or other resource that can help me. I am closing in on buying a Sunbeam Tiger in California. On the California Registration card it has 69 for the Type Veh number. I was recently at a car show and a classic car restorer told me that Type Veh 120 means it was originally a California car, does anybody know what state 69 would be ?
EDIT: Update just got off the phone with the DMV ( who were awesomely helpful and nice to my surprise ) The operator had never been asked this question so she had to look it up. I think the guy at the car show was not %100 correct. The DMV operator told me that Type Veh is the type of license plate- new Cali cars show 120 for standard plate, and 69 is a special ELP or Environmental issued plate. Which makes sense because the car did have a vanity plate with a symbol and I believe those contribute to a cause or charity as part of the fee .
