Green Elise Sighting in Mountain View, CA

This was the first time I've chanced to see another elise on the road!

British Racing Green I think ... heading south on Central Expressway near mountain view at 9:45AM. I was in the Yellow elise and pointed at you.

Fess up ... who was it!?

I've seen this car too. And I think I saw a dark blue one in Mountain View, on Whisman Road while I was biking home. And the first one I saw was a Red one on El Camino near Rengstorff.

Stop making me think about selling my car people!

Hong... come over to the dark side.

P.S. Read your page today for the first time. That is more messed up that I ever thought. And I always knew it was messed up.

Hahahaha, we just bought a new car last month. My next one will likely have four doors for the future generation. I'm thinking Evo MR!

Yeah, it was messed up. I'm glad I can find other car forums to hang out on. The Mods here are much nicer!

A friend of mine who works at E-Bay says there is a green one that is always parked in the lot. Believe he had it shipped from the east coast. Also, there is Dan, on this board.

I think they're all hanging out on Central Expressway, from the sound of things. I know I've ventured up to MV quite a few times in the past few months, always taking Central (101 is horrible). Think I saw Doma once at Central & Castro (I was in my Jetta at the time though).

At commute times I always take Central between mtn view and san jose. 101 in the morning or evening is horrible. Central is more fun of a drive anyway ... lots of starts and stops; 101 can sometimes be just one long bouncy traffic jam.

BTW ... this warm weather is great huh? Tops been off for the past several days.

edit:
Speaking of mountain view I've been having an entertaining day with the car. I think I want to start a commuting blog. Here's today's synopsis.

Morning...
- Get in the car today and resolve to drive nice and slow today and mind all traffic laws (had a scary encounter with a turn on Del La Cruiz the day before and I want to play it safe today to build up good Karma)
- While approaching Central a guy in a purlpe PT cruiser pulls up along side and starts yelling 'Bueno! Bueno! Great Car!'. I wave back.
- On Central a suped up Dodge Neon changes lanes a bunch in order to get ahead of me. At a green light he zooms off ... I can see him looking in his mirror to see if I'm gonna race after him. Uh... No.
- Green Elise sighting!

Afternoon...
- Walk out to car, which is in the company parking lot, and discover someone standing infront of it taking a picutre. As I approach he gets in his car and drives off.
- I find the car COVERED in yellow pollin. Parked too close to an excited tree I guess. Drive into downtown MntView for 30 mins
- Getting ready to leave downtown I start my car and a pontiac next to me starts beeping. I guess my exhaust is too loud. A woman comes sprinting out of a church and eyes me down suspiciously. hehe.
- Pulling onto Shoreline a Porsche Boxster (sp?) zooms up and follows kinda close. Matches all my lane changes. I give it a little gas and we zoom over and down the section that goes above Central. At the bottom we find a motorcycle cop who gives us both the evil eye. I don't know why we didn't get tickets. I briefly panic about my lack of front plate.
- At Taco Bell it's just me and the porsche. I forget all about my morning promise to drive smart. The light changes to green and I decide to show off a little so I zoom off in first gear to 8,200 then miss the shift into second! (I must suck at driving I guess) and while I'm staring down at the shifter wondering what happened and laughing at myself the porsche starts to zoom past me. He then takes the exit onto 101. Oh well

Looking forward to the drive home.

Esprits!
Yeah, Carmel sounds nice. And I can't get enough of Esprits What are they doing in Carmel? Lunch and then turn around? If you don't think they'd mind a baby-brother Loti tagging along then please PM or post re their drive.

Kiyoshi- You got me thinking about it. Been a good six months since I've driven Carmel Valley Rd., plus I've got family out that way... not sure if I'll make it, but let us know the details.

I just got a note from Faisal (ex-GGLC prez), here's info on the run to Carmel on Sat.

"Yes, we are meeting up in Campbell, Camden Ave. exit off 85 South at 10am. Please tell everyone to meet up there--we will have coffee and donuts and share the route plans at the time. There's a parking lot right off the exit.
Best,
Faisal."

Have fun!

Hey, I finally got to see another Elise on the road today!
A blue one on 237 east at about 8am. It took the Fair Oaks exit. I was a bit behind so I couldn't catch up to wave
Matt, was that you?
