Question LA/OC: where to rent Elise?

a buddy of mine is thinking of doing the HC meet with us in October, and since he does not have a LOTUS just yet, he is wondering where he can rent an Elise for the weekend...and about how much is he expecting to pay?

any info would be greatly appreciated!

thank you

hi Coi

before Beverly Hills Rent A Car closed its Santa Monica office i used to drive past their lot. I know they had a red and yellow elise in their fleet.

http://www.bhrentacar.com

http://www.bhrentacar.com/vehicle_info/213/0

according to their website, the daily rate is $300 per day.

hope this helps.

If you do find one it won't be much cheaper than that, I think I paid about $250 at rent a vette in san diego and have to use your own insurance.

Their Vegas office still has an Elise at $245 , the san diego office is not showing an Elise but you might call them and double check....

San Diego Sports Car Rental Rent a Vette Corvettes, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and Plymouth Prowler rent a corvette

The Corvette is $299 a day

There is an exotic rental place on Lincoln Blvd in MDR right across from where the Sunday MDR drive meets and they occasionally had a yellow Elise out on display, might message mdreamweaver or somebody in the area to double check....

Coi,

I rented a 05 CO Elise from this outfit and took it on the 2008 OC New Years day run. You might recall the car; we were driving close to one another down PCH and through Laguna Beach.

Exotic and Luxury Car Rental Agency in Orange County, California

Poor car was beat (real bad second gear grind) but I had a blast driving it. I want to say I paid about $200 a day. Since I kept the Elise for three days the rate may have been discounted?

I rented an Elise from Enterprise on two occasions. Their usual rate was $249, but once I rented for 125 and once for 175. You just have to either give them a heads up or get lucky, as they only have so many in so cal and they would normally need time to have one at the right location

I'll be in OC in a week or so. Your friend is welcome to borrow my Exige, free of charge, provided he knows how to drive. A gift in return will not be refused, however

Tack on some miles, get in a couple police chases, I don't care! These cars are meant to be driven!!!
