I would like to initiate a Lotus Club in this area. We have informal drives based in the Agoura Hills area and sometimes we go (as a group) to the track, so I'd like to make it a bit more formal and more substantial.

I'm not thinking about dues/officers/politics stuff, but a more structure with meeting places and particular times/dates etc. We have a great data base of Lotus owners in this area with different ages and different interests.

The "club" will have short informal Lotus drives (like we do now), longer weekend trips with interesting destinations, socials/dinners for relaxing and camraderie, group trips to the local race track, tech-days where we get together for doing oil changes, repair, installation of aftermarket mods etc. Looks like fun! We could even get discounts at dealers, auto parts, performace shops...

I use a mobile detailer that comes to my house to wash/wax my X-5 and g/f's 325 and he does a great job. He was a referral from a friend who uses him for his Porsches (GT3 RS and Cayenne, other than the GT - no one touches that one) and Audi R-8. Raul at 805-551-5130. Inside and out $40 but I tip him $20.

I agree with you wholeheartedly Hal...if the guys up in Norcal as well as the East Coast can organize a Lotus club - why can't WE?? We probably have more Lotus' in Socal than anywhere else, and there is no formal organization...hell I elect Hal for president. Let's get this thing going!

When I drove up to Norcal, I met up with Kiyoshi (mod. here) and he talked a little about their club up north - it's huge and very well organized...we need to follow that example...perhaps part of it is starting another website?

In any case, can't wait for Hearst castle...I thought we were leaving at 7:30?
