I know, I replaced the bulb, as I found the bulb inside the light and it was not working, so I bought a new bulb, this week, so I guess it is something electrical. Had to pick up my son, so I stuck my head in the trunk again and found the the wiring harness had come unplug under the carpet. What I think is happening with the wiring exposed to the trunk and putting the soft top in there and driving the canyons gets that thing slipping around and knocking it loose. I should have check it when we were at the beach. Before it was the bulb fell into the light and the wiring into the tail light had come out. Last edited by kgalgas : 07-13-2008 at 11:10 PM. |

Thansks to you guy's perfect timing, I joined the short drive and had lots of fun. We sure stirred up the crowd of people at the beach. Too bad all the cameras were snapping because of our cars not because of us. Oh well, I guess they're prettier than most of us. We'll definetly do it again. Exiges looked aswesome. The ride was cool, thanks Hal and Terry! The Elises were classic looking.

It's great meeting everyone and the drive was just fantastic.
Who knew the car coming towards me was a CHP when I decided to pass the Porsche. I guesss he was on his way home!!! August 9th. and 10th. is the weekend of the Big Bear Car show. We may not make the next meeting. The car show is a Hot Rod show but, it's pretty fantastic with about 500 cars taking over Big Bear Village. At about 3:00 P.M. on Sat., they all go for a drive around the lake. We usuall leave a few minutes early and drive the other way. Then we stop and get to see some great cars in action as they drive by. Possible name for the Lotus Gang!! Have a Lotus-- HAL for short Hope to see you all @Mt Pinos. Steve, are you the guy that we met at Silver Star Lotus back in April?
If so, we should hook up on our next drive, you can come with me if you feel like it ... or maybe Ara will let you ride in his Exige (that you were admiring) ...if he doesn't mind the extra weight slowing him down ... and you have earplugs. ![]() - z

[quote=SKYVUE;1051169]Here's my impressions:
A great group. Ara, XXXX and Blake are great leaders (I'm too slow). That is because they have exiges and 1 of them were riding alone, rather than driving and elise with the added weight of a passenager. |

Had a blast hanging out and driving with everybody ! Quite an adventurous day
I still have my suggestions for a name: LOLA - Lotus Owners Los Angeles or other way around LALOC Los Angeles Lotus Owners Club LOW - Lotus Owners West and some inspired by car clubs in the UK Lotus Motor Club Lotus Registery

Idea for meets
Was talking to my son about Getty, Rockerfellar and Heast, his is obsessed with rich people. Then Heast Caste entered the discussion.
While I was born and raised in California I had never been to Heast Castle, thought it was be a good place for a Lotus meet, then thought that since it half way down for the Bay- area maybe we could have a So-Cal/ Nor-Cal meet. I thought it would be a blast to drive the coast up and take in some of the local sites and roads, as well as the Castle. Also discuss staying a Madonna Inn, but this may be too expensive, unless we could get really good group rates. |

Someone mentioned going up to Santa Ynez and do some wine tasting. While I enjoy my wine, but driving fast cars with this bunch after drinking wine, is flirting with disaster. We would need a team medical car and flatbed truck picking up pieces of fiberglass for the side of the road. Could model the Tour de France support vehicles for the drive. Oh yeah, you guys looking for spare parts, just wait until after the drive, there will be plenty in every color available. |

it was great to see everyone there! i had a great time as always. sorry if i held a few of you guys up. I was in neutral a lot and sometimes I was leaving gaps on purpose so I could speed up to catch the lead car.
There were just A LOT of cars and bikes out there. did you guys see the black SLR and the white blue Maserati MC12? I saw that car a couple months ago on a Wednesday night in Malibu on a flatbed in front of this dude's house. Must be the same car.
