We just drove up to San Simeon/Hearst Castle in our Lotus this past weekend. Our first overnight road trip in the Lotus and we had the top off plus the new racing stripes were on. Worked out really well and lots of fun. We tried to stick to PCH as much as possible. The roads were great especially past San Simeon towards Big Sur.

We had to get gas up there at a small "town?" called Gorda or Gardo. Anyway, premium gas was $6.39/gal. We only got 3 gallons at that price.

Traffic was awful (as expected) getting through Santa Barbara on a Sunday late afternoon.
