Latest weather on weatherdotcom shows rain saturday evening but clearing up early morning with sun for rest of the day. Rain expected back on monday. Id say game on!

despite the chance of rain, we had not one but TWO 7's show up. so for all you air conditioned, power windowed, windshield wiper equipped weenie elise/exige drivers crying about the rain, poo on you even a lambo-door equipped corvette showed up. not sure if that's necessarily a good thing but you know lambo-doored anythings don't show up at the slightest chance of rain.

we'll watch the weather again for this sunday as its supposed to rain for much of the evening the saturday before. hopefully it clears up again by sunday funday!

despite the cold, lots of people have been showing up for the marina del rey classic car meet, but we can certainly use a few more loti. we had three show up this past sunday, including an exige, evora and 7.

i keep seeing pictures on lotus' facebook page of cars being driven to work despite the fact that it's snowing in hethel, so hopefully more of us are inspired to use our power window equipped 'all season cars' even when the temps get down into the 40's.

this sunday i'm proposing an extended drive up to angeles crest area and then perhaps a lunch at newcomb's ranch.

Hmm... I believe I might be free on Sunday. And I've never driven Angeles Crest. Now all I have to do is remember about the meet... (I likely would have dropped by last weekend if I'd remembered.)

And I've driven the car in white-out downpour conditions over the Grapevine, 30 minutes before it was closed due to weather. We both survived. Imagine that.

im interested in a drive, but i dont think the 2 is a good idea, i was up there last month and it was a gravle yard on top of ice, went around 3 crashes and 5 cars in the ditch. may be a little bit differnt now but with it being cold out and all...

Mt Waterman, one of the ski resorts up on Angeles Crest, is reporting that they have 6-8 inches of snow on the ground and that the temp on Sunday will be 29 low-49 high. If you have summer tires, you might want to reconsider participating. On sunday morning, the temps will be hovering around the freezing mark. Even on dry ground, you will have very little grip!

Current Conditions

Perhaps the organizer(s) can do a recon run the day prior to confirm conditions, considering the possibility of difficulties it could cause if there are problematic conditions?

Isn't there also a dinner event that same day which a lot of people have signed up for? Not sure if that causes a conflict or if it just means some folks might opt to have a long day of fun filled car related stuff.

Edit: Or perhaps we are overthinking this. The initial organizer did say the MdR meet would be a more casual type of regular gathering which would/could change to suit whatever. Maybe think of it as an adventure.

Yeah we'll just show up and discuss. Nothing is set in stone and we'll go with the prevailing mood of the group. A bunch of folks have confirmed off line that theyre coming out so we'll gather and figure it out over coffee.

what a beautiful day for a drive yesterday. we kept it mellow did the usual malibu route up las flores, over to mulholland and down latigo. saw some familiar people along the way and stopped off at the rock store overlook hoping to see some interesting cars but left after it got over run by pot smoking urban riders.

i'm out of town on business for two weeks but i hope others will feel compelled to keep meeting up for the next couple weekends.

If nothing forms in The Valley this weekend I may have to drive to the Marina Del Rey Meet, as it's been a while since I've seen another Lotus. What's in the works? Also, does anyone know of an Super Car Sunday action?
