Recognize this car?

I'm thinking of joining the lotus community and was wondering if anybody knows this car. Perhaps it is owned by a member

Edit: I'm having a hard time linking the autotrader ad, but its an '05 with 17k miles for $33k

I think I've seen that car in Long Beach, don't know who the owner is or much about it though.

Pretty pricey for an 05, even with the lower mileage. A few bucks more will put you in something newer with equally low, if not lower mileage.

Matt black is an acquired taste, to me it looks primed and in need of a paint job.

Matt black is also not original paint so potentially prior damage and paint quality/longevity are serious issues. Sounds way over priced to me.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll probably go a different direction.

Probably should have added - Los Angeles area.

Coming from E46 M3 and Z3M. Might sell one or both and get into an elise or exige.

Yeah, I would skip on that one (at that price anyways), check out the FS forum on here....

Yeah I was originally hoping that matte was a possible factory paint job (terribly incorrect)

I am checking the FS forum and the only one I see available is the orange elise with exige panels. It has had an interesting life so far, but it looks nice.

Would anyone be willing to let me ride in your lotus in LA area?

I've been wanting to test drive one, but there exactly ZERO exige or elise vehicles for sale within 150 miles...

I've meet the guy who had the same car at Newport European Service Dept. He said he bought if off from someone else recently. He lives in Belmont Shore Area, Long Beach...

I don't think he is on the forum but I did tell him to go on it to check it out.
