San Diego tire installation - where to go?

Any recommendations for places to have rubber installed?
Or has anyone removed the wheels themselves and brought them to a store to be mounted?

I'd like to find a place that does excellent mounting/balance work, and gets paid for it. Ideally, I'd like to order tires, ship them to the mounting place, put the car up on blocks in the garage, pull the wheels, truck them over there and get the rubber swapped out. Disposal too, since Municipal Waste would probably spot them in the garbage can.

I have used Discount Tire on Mission Gorge right off I-8. They use a hand jack only and seem to take some care.

I use Performance Tire on Miramar also, and they do my alignments.

I've been going to Performance Tire on Miramar for a long time. Very nice guys there with reasonable prices. If you do go there, tell them I sent you. I'm the crazy girl with the Fiat and Lotus. They've worked on my Fiat and Celica, and balanced my Lotus wheels when others failed.

LOL, Randy beat me to it. Performance did the allignment on my Celica after I installed my camber plates.

That's the same place that sent me home with 65psi in all four tires

When I called them later to mention it, they were like "Yeah, happens. Next, please."

I'm thinking of going with the Eagle F1's... Any Feedback? My goal is longer tread life and a little less road noise. The problem is that very few tires match LSS sizing...

Used the Discount Tire on Mission Gorge because I was going to be in the area.

They were decent, but my wheels have a few scratches on them, and every wheel bolt area has scratches from their wrench. They also used chrome valve stems which don't look good with my painted wheels. The price was very good however and they treated great otherwise.

I will probably complain to them, but I'm not sure what they will be willing to do about it. Suggestions?

I go to them for the majority of my service needs.

They have a Hunter TC-3500 mounter & GSP-9700 balancer as well as a ArgoUltra Alignment Machine. This is some of the best equipment available. They have a couple customers that drive out from AZ because of this equipment.

The shop maintains several spec miatas for various racers, including the car that dominates the class in this region, driven by Don Thibaut.

The owner/manager Louis is a good friend of mine. He is very knowledgeable, honest and fair. Ask to speak with him if you call.
